Charitable Pet Organizations - (Offering Help)

ACAP - Animal Care Assistance Program (ACAP). This program’s primary goal is to help low income or disadvantaged Virginia residents' pets with veterinary needs in an effort to prevent unnecessary suffering of their pets. We try to reduce the number of owners surrendering their pets to shelters due to common problems that may be resolved with intervention and assistance. Flea/tick medications, dewormers, and heartworm preventative medications are also provided. Pet owners must go to our website to complete our application for assistance.

Banfield Charitable Trusts - While the Banfield Foundation does not provide direct support to individual pet owners, we want to provide information about other nonprofit organizations that do. If you are a pet owner struggling to find veterinary care and pet food resources, review this list of national veterinary care resources and local resources by state.

Brown Dog Foundation - Brown Dog Foundation is a very small organization that receives more than 4,000 requests for assistance each year. Unfortunately, we say "no" much more frequently than we can say "yes". Because of the high volume of requests, our resources are allocated first to those pets whose life is in danger. We encourage you to apply as, in addition to giving cash, we also offer guidance and referral to lower cost alternatives.

Coupon For Free Veterinary Office Visit - Free Office Visit for your pet at Banfield Pet Hospitals (PetSmart Locations).

Harley's Hope Foundation - Our purpose is to ensure low income pet parents and their companion or service animals remain together when issues arise. The goal in doing so is to prevent at-risk animals from being surrendered or falling victim to euthanasia for treatable conditions and behaviors.

Magic Bullet Fund - If your dog has cancer and you can’t afford treatment, you are not alone. A great many people are in this same situation. Magic Bullet Fund gets many applications and we have to make very hard decisions. We would like to help all of the dogs and all of the families who apply but we cannot.

Red Rover - Provides financial assistance, resources and emotional support to pet guardians struggling with economic hardship when pets are in need of urgent and emergency veterinary care, as well as support and resources to help victims of domestic violence escape abusive environments with their pets.

Speaking For Spot - A Great Resource to find help with veterinary bills for people that need financial assistance.

Special Needs Dobermans - We are an all-volunteer organization of people with a common goal of helping Senior and special needs Doberman Pinschers. That need may be financial for Doberman Rescue Groups, or it may be only information and/or moral support for the owner of a Doberman with a serious illness or injury. We will also aid Rescue Groups in rehoming and fostering senior Dobermans they may place under their care.

The Mosby Foundation - The help of our generous donors allows us to provide financial assistance for dogs in need of critical care.

The Onyx & Breezy Foundation - A charitable organization.

The Pet Fund - The Pet Fund is a registered 501(c) 3 nonprofit association that provides financial assistance to owners of domestic animals in the United States who need veterinary care. Often animals are put down or suffer needlessly because their owners cannot afford expensive surgery or medical treatment. Companion animal owners must often make the difficult decision to put an animal down or neglect medical needs because of the costs involved.

Youcaring.com - is a free crowdfunding site that focuses on raising money for people who need it for personal reasons – everything from education to pet expenses.
